Happy Tofurkey Day--I am thankful for YOU!

Greetings, dear ones -

Happy Tofurkey Day! I am thankful for YOU!

This year is so so so much better than last year--my dad and I got to watch the Macy's Day Parade from the comfort of our own home with homemade coffee and breakfast. So much better than sitting by while he recovered from iatrogenic aspiration pneumonia.

I could not be more thankful--for him or for YOU!

That said, let me warn you, dear ones, as I recently did on the Twitter...

DO NOT buy "Medicare advantage" without checking reviews FIRST.

Better yet--do not buy "Medicare advantage" AT ALL.

Dear ones, it is a scam.

The only thing that costs $0/month is the privilege of having high-cost, low-coverage insurance SOLD to you.

The insurance itself comes at a PREMIUM--often hundreds of dollars per month.

And here's the bad news: these conmen and conwomen are only too happy to sell you insurance that will kick you off your existing Medicare supplement...

You know--the insurance that your company oh-so-carefully negotiated on your behalf for your retirement...

...and replace it with something MUCH more costly and MUCH less beneficial for you...while they laugh all the way to the bank.

You see, these sales conmen and conwomen collect $0/month from you, but they get hefty commissions from these insurance scammers companies.

And here's something else they won't tell you: once your expensive new Medicare supplemental insurance
--which surely covers less than the policy your company negotiated for you--kicks you off your existing Medicare supplemental insurance, you WON'T be able to get back on.

That's right, friends--you could phone yourself right out of affordable insurance and right into a financial mess that your loved ones may not be able to rescue you from.

So, this open season, please be sure to tell sweet lovable Joe Namath what he can do with his "Medicare advantage," and don't fall for the hype and the lies.

The life you save may be your own.

Or, dear ones, if you have elder friends and rellies, please keep an eye on them--don't let them fall for this shit.

Healthcare insurance fraud is a Very Real Thing, but it's perpetrated not by Us The People but by the for-profit, against-people insurance companies.

Don't put yourself or your loved ones into the category of the thousands upon thousands of frustrated, needlessly impoverished Americans filing complaints against these bastards.

Remember, commercials are a scam. But don't take my word for it--just look up the reviews on anything they advertise. And I mean look PAST the reviews that the scammers themselves pay for. Do your research. See for yourself.

And with those words...and with Dot Calm's favorite video for this time of year...I bid you and yours a safe, prosperous, delicious, and joyous Thanksgiving!
