Dot Calm's shadow here...
Photo: Ryan is Budget Boy Wonder among conservatives. It's their dream of dreams to enact his social Darwinist budget. "The Christian Right" follows along as if being led by the Pied Piper. When the curtain is dropped, you get to see where Ryan's ideas originate. No wonder Jesus warned us, "Behold, I send you out as sheep in the midst of wolves; so be shrewd as serpents and innocent as doves." -- Matthew 10:16

Paul Ryan portrays himself as a practicing Roman Catholic.

Hate to say it Paul Ryan but if the writings of Ayn Rand is your idea of a moral case for capitalism and individualism, you are one phucken sick puppy who should stay away from American politics! Go find your own country and take that bat crazy Sarah Palin with you!

Ayn Rand distanced herself as far as possible from the teachings of Jesus Christ, upon which Roman Catholicism is ostensibly based.
Anton LaVey did the same thing, using the concept of Satan as an easily understood representation of everything that is not Jesus Christ (i.e., you don't have to believe in a literal Satan to be a Satanist--all you have to do is put yourself above all else).
Conclusion: you can't follow both Jesus Christ and Ayn Rand.
Sorry, Paul--Supply Side Jesus doesn't count.

"No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mammon."
Matthew 6:24

(Mammon refers to the debasing love of money, power, and self. Sounds like what Ayn Rand worshiped to me.)

If every trace of any single religion were wiped out and nothing were passed on, it would never be created exactly that way again. There might be some other nonsense in its place but not that exact nonsense. If all of science were wiped out, it would still be true and someone would find a way to figure it all out again.

Washington (CNN)–More than half the public says Obamacare has helped either their families or others across the country, although less than one in five Americans say they have personally benefited from the health care law, according to a new national poll.

Hey, that's better than a poke in the eye with a sharp object.
