Women of the 70s

As working professionals there were built-in biases against women that they were unaware of for most of the 70s...many of them wondered why they weren't advancing as quickly as their male counterparts...

Working women were simply there...as secretaries (to men who did the important work), as receptionists, and the like.

I remember taking the secretarial course in high school ('cause my friends did)...where I was introduced to a mysterious phenomenon called shorthand...

Fortunately, it wasn't in the Tarot cards for me.

I'm convinced I could have singularly started ww3 through my ineptness in the mysteries of translating shorthand hieroglyphics.

Rampant Sexism

America Veering Towards Fascism?

Beyond the fact that the political elite and national culture is male-dominated, this ugly regime of “black heads*” views women as second-class citizens!

This extreme fascist invasion is complete with its severe limitations of women’s rights, including adamant anti-abortion and homophobic attitudes supported by laws developed by the Catholic religion.

Too bad the Catholic religion big wigs didn’t respond as quickly against the priests abusing little altar boys. Here that, Cardinal Law? So, how do you like hiding out in the Vatican?

Does anybody see the irony in this creep's name? Do you mentally change his name to Cardinal LawLESS?

American women and soldiers experienced sexual abuse while in Iraq under the veil of war. This society is adept at these coverups.
