Dear pick-me's

Dear pick-me's:

You know who you are.

You're the misogynistic woman.

You're the POC-hating POC.

You're the LGBTQ+ phobic LGBTQ+ person.

You're the non-rich person who feels unworthy of being rich.

You're the one betraying other people who look like you, live like you, love like you for the sake of serving the republican patriarchy of rich, white, cis-het, Christian men.

You do this not only because you hate yourself and those who look like, live like, and love like you but because you're willing to stand on their necks in the merest hopes that you'll get special treatment...like avoiding becoming the target of all the horrible things you want done to people just like you. Heck, maybe the overlords you slavishly worship will not only not punish you for existing, but maybe they'll actually reward you for serving their interests over your own.

I hate to tell you, sweetie, but it doesn't work that way.

The only people that the republican patriarchy of rich, white, cis-het, Christian men despise more than women, POC, LGBTQ+, and non-rich people are pick-me's.

The people you worship the most despise you the most.

If you're not loyal to people who are just like you, they know you'll never be loyal to them.

So they'll never trust you.

And since you're already in one or more of the populations they already hate, they'll never, ever love you.

They'll never, ever accept you.

You'll never, ever be "one of them."

They will always scorn you, laugh at you, and deride you as a "useful idiot" behind your back.

If only you could hear what they say about you when your back is turned.

I assure you, it isn't pretty.

So congratulations on making yourself a person without a community and a traitor in your own land.

Congratulations on becoming someone with no true friends--only transaction partners.

Congratulations on making yourself universally scorned and despised.

You could have worked for the betterment of marginalized populations like your own.

You could have worked for a more just, egalitarian society instead of deliberately, willfully, and callously harming innocent others to promote your own petty self interests.

Is it really worth it?

Do you truly enjoy harming innocent others for no good cause?

Does it really fulfill your life's purpose to be a mere tool?

Are you truly happy living in a community, nation, and world consisting of exactly and only yourself?

Consider joining society to serve the greater good while there's still time.

It's the only way to earn the love, respect, and connection all humans crave.

Think about it.
