The mystery of maga--crime, punishment, and acceptable behavior

It mystifies me what maga considers to be crimes deserving the death sentence:

• Telling the truth as supported by actual evidence
• Believing that it is no one else's right to decide what another does with their body
• Understanding and working within the bounds of causal reality
• Understanding and using evidence and actual experts to make decisions
• Making life better for ordinary Americans, like lowering their taxes, raising their pay, increasing their health benefits, reducing their medication costs, improving their access to health care and other services, and improving their environment with cleaner air, water, and food
• Feeding, clothing, educating, and loving humans after they've been born
• Working with rather than against our allies
• Working against rather than with our adversaries

Meanwhile, maga adamantly praises and supports the opposite of these "crimes." 

They love them their lies. 

They can't run their own lives, but they insist on running ours (not that they can! - but they insist they can and should, so how dare we not comply?). 

They are unmoored from reality, and they stick their fingers in their ears and scream LA-LA-LA-LA-I-CAN'T-HEAR-YOU when confronted by actual evidence and expertise. 

They want only billionaires to have any money and gladly give up their own money to support this cause. 

They WANT their lives to be harder--they embrace unnecessary hardship and suffering. 

They think only the pre-born--even the ones too deformed to survive--are worth supporting, and the rest of us on the planet deserve to suffer and die horrible deaths. 

They hate those who support us and love only those who want to destroy us--and they have the nerve to call themselves "patriots." 

They worship the words "Constitution" and "bible" while hating and abhorring the actual contents of those documents--neither of which they've read (or understand if they have in fact attempted to read them).

They think only a convicted felon intent on committing more crime will protect them from crime, only a serial and convicted sexual assaulter who sees women as "less than human" will protect their women, only a grifter will treat them fairly and cut them a break, only a thief will protect their money, only a sociopath who uses rather than loves his own spawn and who told his nephew to let his disabled son die will protect their children, only a self-serving traitor is patriotic enough to represent them, only a dictator will set them free, only a sociopathic narcissist loves them and is worth loving, and only an incurious, uneducated, ignoramus with dementia is omniscient enough to be their king. 

And yet, they go to the best doctors they can find when they are sick, bring their cars to the best mechanics they can find when they break down, and use the best contractor or electrician or roofer or plumber they can find when their homes are in need.

Clearly, they do not hear themselves when they speak or see what they do when they act.

How do their brains not explode under the pressure of all the cognitive dissonance?

It's a mystery.
