The Rise of the New Right

I don’t understand why the Tea Party is angry with Chris Matthews’ report,  “The Rise of the New Right.” I watched that documentary; it reported the extreme behavior the Tea Party movement represents. As an older American I’ve seen extreme behavior by “patriots.” This country has endured every manner of extreme behavior from riots to assassinations. But the image of one of your crazies spitting on a Congressman is the newest expression of violence.

If Tea Partyers are disgusted with their own behavior, it’s understandable. But don’t blame Chris Matthews for the disgusting act perpetrated by one of yours.
