Nothing upsets sociopathic pedophilic narcissist like losing their perceived property--e.g., losing a real estate deal (or a warm hole), so epstein started threatening trump that he'd go to the police and the press about trump's money laundering, and he concluded that trump, who was intimately familiar for many years with epstein's activities in his homes and on his island, retaliated by diming him out to police for child sex trafficking, thus precipitating epstein's eventual arrest and conviction.
