Traitorous nutjob Michael Flynn lied and kept his job; American hero Sally Yates told the truth and was fired. Now, tRump's fired Comey for totally disingenuous reasons. In other words, situation normal in tRumpworld.

11 May update:

Greetings, fellow Dot Calm Readers, Freedom Fighters, and Truth Crusaders!

Alas, I'm still in deadline hell at work, so I'll make this update as brief and as useful as I can: I've got some Resistbot fawdder for y'all, some headlines, and some m00bies. If I have the time and energy, I'll throw in a meme or a funneh or two.

Join me and fuel up your torches and sharpen up your fangs, claws, and pitchforks--let's fight these assholes!

With that, I'll just slawg on with le blawg.

Resistbot fawdder!

Feel free to use as much or as little of any of these letters as you like. As for me, I'm driving my Teathuglikkant congress-critter right up the wall!

Remember when tRump said he could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot someone and not lose one vote?

Remember tRump praising and, in some cases, inviting friendly meetings with dictators Duterte, Erdogan, and Kim Jon-un while refusing to shake hands with our ally, Angela Merkel?

Remembe how tRump acquiesced to PEWtin's request to entertain his minister and ambassador the day after firing Comey? And how tRump let TASS photographers into THE Oval Office while excluding our own media? (Now, THERE'S a security violation for you!)

Remember every outrageous, anti-democratic, un-American thing tRump has ever said and done?

These are signals.

They tell us that tRump is an authoritarian whose only interest is co-opting our institutions to serve his own personal interests. He is serious about being an authoritarian and serving other authoritarians.

They are tests of the Republican Party, which, by failing every test, has proven itself authoritarian, too.

If we look at history, people didn't take authoritarians like Mussolini and Hitler seriously until it was too late.

Firing the man investigating tRump is an impeachable offense. It is a cover up in its own right. It is also a clear admission of guilt.

Please don't repeat history--impeach tRump NOW, before it's too late!

A woman was arrested for laughing at an obvious lie told about Jess Sessions--namely, that he has a consistent history of treating all races equally. Just read Coretta Scott King's letter.

A reporter was just arrested for asking Tom Price a question.

The woman laughed at the distortion of the truth. The reporter wanted to get the truth.

But the truth is under attack in tRump's soviet America.

Are you going to stand up for the truth and, with it, our democracy and rule of law?

The farther you let tRump's authoritarianism go, the harder it will be to distance yourself and extricate the country.

Please do the right thing. For all of us, yourself included.

Impeach tRump NOW!

I still want to know why Jeff Sessios is free to threaten to shut down the tRump-Russia investigation when he should be sitting in a jail cell for perjuring himself on his SF-86 by denying his own Russian ties.

What are YOU doing about this?

I expect your answer in writing.

9 May post:

Greetings, fellow Dot Calm Readers, Freedom Fighters, and Truth Crusaders!

It seems like almost every week I come to you whinging that I'm behind the eight-ball yet again. This week, I'm up to me arse in alligators at work--on top of an already brutal deadline, I'm taking friendly fire from my own "team," which is sabotaging me with their disorganization far more than they're helping. Ugh. Will I meet my deadline actually or only asymptotically? Stay t00ned to this blawg...I'll keep ya posted.

Anyhoo, because of the craziness at work, I don't have time to grace y'all with my usual pith and wit today. If you peruse as you scroll down to the peas, you'll get a fair idea of what's been on my mind since we tawked last.

One piece of n00z that's been lurking on the sidelines is the Sinclair media deal. You'll find the story in the "Democracy Now!" headlines. These are scary times for democracy in this country, friends...scary, scary times.

With that, allow me to slawg on with the blawg.

...Wait, wait, wait!
Stop the presses!!

Oh noes--the Internet is broke! In yet another bite-the-hand-that-fed-him move, tRump just fired (as in, it hit Twitter around 5-6 this evening) James Comey, using the completely disingenuous excuse that he was unfair to Hillary regarding her e-mails...an excuse that his base will suck up like Kool-Aid...as in, "Awwr, isn't tRump being oh-so-fair to teh libtardz!"

Oh, and tRump LIED (what, three times?) in that firing letter, saying that he himself is not being investigated. Oh, and tRump is retaining legal COUNSEL (get it, donnie?) for himself.

Dear ones, this is not a time to celebrate--this is part of the tRump-Russia cover up because you just KNOW that tRump is going to replace Comey with someone compromised. tRump is abusing his power, and he is obstructing justice.

Oh, and TRUMP IS UNDER FBI INVESTIGATION, which means that (1) as tRump himself says, it's impossible for him to govern (in addition to the obvious reasons he can't govern any more than he can find his double-wide ass with both hands) and (2) there's NO WAY IN HELL that Congress should approve tRump's nomination to replace Comey any more than they'd have approved any of Hillary's nominees for any reason, let alone if she'd been under FBI investigation.

Looks like (another) job for Super Kushner
...awww, he went to Jared!

And now...with that...let me slawg on with the blawg.

I had to sell my house, which I ended up owning for a year to the day, to avoid getting foreclosed on. I was out of work for nine months and lost over $200,000 in income because the jobs I took (once jobs started trickling back into the market) were below my usual salary and qualifications. Boycott List

Boycott media!

Don't bother with these media outlets any more unless you want trump propaganda--these media outlets have whored themselves out to trump for access for the low, low price of "fancy" cocktails and a "fancy" dinner, consisting of Donald's shriveled orange acorn dick, at chump's "fancy" (aka FAKE PLASTIC, just like everything else about trump and his FAKE PLASTIC family) "resort" in Florida. What an upstanding, responsible response to trump's denying press conferences since 27 July 2016...retch. So much for comforting the afflicted, afflicting the comfortable, and speaking truth to power to keep that power reined in and in check...!
  • Axios
  • Bloomberg
  • Breitbart because duh--according to AlterNet, Howard Dean Lends Voice to Consumer Activist Group Hitting Breitbart in the Wallet—And It's Working
  • CNN
  • FOX because of course
  • MSNBC (includes Joe Scarborough, but Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes may still be OK as long as their corporate overlords allow it)
  • NBC (they also have the reality TV show conflict of interest--and they just hired a couple of FUX Noise escapees, so beware a hard swing to the far, far right)
  • POLITICO--their top editor(s) went and paid to party with trump, so now more and more trump propaganda has been showing up there, to my infinite disgust
Don't forget to contact these media outlets and their ADVERTISERS and TELL them all why you're boycotting them! So what if we spend a little less money overall? The money we save now may give us enough breathing room to jump ship before trump crashes the economy.

Boycott vendors that support trump, sell trump shit, and otherwise pander to hate!

Boycott Victoria's Secret--they kick out shoppers who are guilty of shopping while Black!

Here's a twofer: let's save our money for when dump tanks the economy and grab the trumpussy grabber-in-thief where it hurts most--by his wallet!

Want to boycott trump? There's an app for that!

And here's a list of trump companies.

There's also a spreadsheet of trump supporters and vendors that carry trump merch that includes the vendors below.
Don't forget New Balance, who praised and supported trump: 1 (800) 595-9138.

Here's the list from Mindy Fischer, featuring 28 vendors that sell trump merchandise. BOYCOTT them all and TELL them why!
