Glub, glub, glub...
1 June 2017 update: holy covfefe, Batman!
Hello, it's me again, Margaret--didja miss me?
heh heh heehhhhhh...!
Srsly--what the covfefe?!
If y'all are nice to me, mebbe I'll throw in a few of the funniest #covfefe tweets from yesterday. (I threw in a teeny li'l easter egg y'day evening...didja see it?)
One sad-but-honest Tweep lamented that #covfefe got a bazillion more hits than the awful car bombing that actually killed actual people in Kabul, Afghanistan.
And, yes, that is true.
There were also plenty of hits for Kathy Griffin's stunt posing with a tRump mask with fake blood on it. Liberals pounced on Ms. Griffin, who immediately did something that neither tRump nor any Republican has ever done: she posted a heartfelt and convincing apology, taking full responsibility for her actions. No mansplaining--just "I crossed the line...I moved the line and then crossed it...." And she looked unmistakably upset in her video. Not smug, like a Republican would.
Of course, Republicans ignored it--probably because the whole notion of apologizing for misdeeds and taking responsibility for their actions is so foreign to them. Both the words and the sincerity in Ms. Griffin's apology must've sounded like a foreign language to them...
And then...there was this:
As you can see from the timestamp, tRump posted this crazy tweet shortly after midnight...and the tweet was allowed to stay up until well into the morning--apparently, his night handlers nodded off. I saw the tweet around 8 or 9 eastern time--it was only taken down some time after that.
But after the tweet posted, before it was deleted, teh intert00bz freaked--people thought tRump had stroked out and died on the toilet while taking a dump. I shit you not.
tRump being tRump, instead of being gracious and honest, like Kathy Griffin, he posted this nonsplanation:
When asked about the mysterious tweet later, spicey sphincter gave this explanation:
"The president and a small group of people know exactly what he meant."
Is it any wonder that the press corps laughed at him?
And then the fun really began.
I mean, everyone knows that tRump is st00pit. Everyone knows that tRump is ignorant. Everyone knows that tRump is a narcissist who can't admit fault. Everyone knows that tRump spouts nonsense while pretending it's genius.
But his covfefe...
Friends, it was just the laugh we all needed.
Yes, I know that innocent people were murdered in Kabul.
Yes, I know that tRump is fundamentally destroying this country behind our backs while we're all trying to boot him out via tRump-Russia.
Yes, I know that the n00z sucks ass and that tRump and the Teathuglikkkants are responsible.
Yes, I know that tRump and the Teathuglikkkants won't stop until they've murdered us all in our beds, either by denying us medical coverage, poisoning our food, starving us to death, or getting us all nuked.
Yes, I know that life today is anything but a laughing matter.
BUT HIS COVFEFE...!
Friends, since I had already failed the polyester test* yesterday from having stayed up way too late blogging for your comfort and convenience, I was a ripe target for the attack of the covfefe. Everywhere I went...from the train...to the building...to the office...in the office...I was quietly dying with stifled laughter at the creative hilariousness of the Twitterverse.
I think that all the bad news made all of us susceptible to the charms of covfefe. Like watching Hannity's advertisers dump him in real time as we tweeted them to stop funding the torture of Seth Rich's family, there was something magical about watching the glory of covfefe unfold in real time. Covfefe was the shot in the arm we both needed and deserved as we carry on The Resistance.
So, even though tRump seems determined to fry the planet while ISIS bombs its own small corner of it, and even though poor Kathy Griffin is in the doghouse for a while (again), there is hope. Europe, Canada, and the more intelligent mayors of our cities will continue to honor the Paris Accord to reduce global warming. And we will always have this moment...of covfefe.

Moar m00bies!
ICYMI:
I'm gonna loop this til it loses all meaning...oh wait.
Relax--have a covfefe!
Ah, the covfefe is strong with this one...
Brilliant!!!
...I replied, saying that I had titled my latest blawg post "Glub, glub, glub," but, if I'd known, I'd have titled it "covfefe."
I love them all, but I think this may just be my fave:
Here's Randi Rhodes's fave:
The wind whispered "covfefe"
30 May 2017 post:
I know I'm not the only one who sees the morning n00z--or Twitter feed--in two uncomfortable ways:
1. Damage report
2. Trying to drink from a firehose
...glub, glub, glub.
Friends, there's just too much going on for me to hit it all.
Probably the biggest pisser today is Jared Kushner's illicit security clearance.
Yeah, I gno--Sessions needs his clearance revoked, too, because, like Kushner, he committed fraud by lying about his Russian contacts on his security clearance form: the SF (or Standard Form) 86, or SF-86 for short.
Kushner's offense is worse than Sessions's--I gno, right?--for at least two reasons I can think of without even taking my sleepy neurons out of first gear:
1. Kushner lied about his debt by failing to mention that he owes $1 BILLION.
Business Insider: Jared Kushner didn't disclose ties to Soros, Thiel, Goldman Sachs
We ordinary folks are denied security clearances or have our clearances revoked for much smaller debts. Hell--I've heard of people losing their clearances if they've ever let debts go to collections agencies. That's, what, 90 days overdue? 120? And you can lose your clearance and thus your job--and the possibility of ever working in a cleared position again--over it.
The problem with debt is that it gives someone who is NOT the United States of America leverage over you. They can threaten to call in their marker unless you do [insert unsavory action that is advantageous to your creditor here].
For example, Turkey pwned Flynn, so they told Flynn to manipulate tRump's foreign policy to favor Turkey...and Flynn did as he was asked...and tRump did as Flynn asked. And PEWtin pwns tRump, so when PEWtin tells tRump to host his spies or dismantle NATO, tRump unblinkingly complies.
tRump junta debt thus makes America a LOT LESS safe because it puts us at the mercy of our greatest adversary: Russia.
N00z flash: Russia is NOT our friend, people!
2. During the transition, Kushner contacted the Russians to set up a COVERT, ENCRYPTED communications channel TO Russia IN a Russian facility.
In other words, Kushner wanted to be able to talk TO PEWtin WITHOUT anyone in OUR government knowing...like our military, our intelligence, our oversight...!
Friends, there is no innocent way to spin this.
There's only one word for it: ESPIONAGE.
The Atlantic: Report: Jared Kushner Asked Kislyak for Use of Russian Communications Facilities
What the FUCK does Kushner have to hide that he has to go to OUR ENEMY--THE ENEMY THAT JUST ATTACKED OUR ELECTION--and ask them for a secret, encrypted channel in their facility that he can use to talk to their president?!??
Even Russian spy-master Kislyak was "taken aback" by the request.
I've posted more about this and the rest of the madness we now call "current events" in the headlines below.
Friends, I've spent 27 of my 30 years as a professional engineer working in DoD. I've sacrificed good pay, vacations, comfort, prestige, and much, much more because I thought this goddamned country was worth defending. I followed every protocol and conned over every training so's to make myself the best possible protector of this nation's sensitive information with a view toward bringing its men and women in uniform home safely from wherever our varyingly fascist, adventurist government sent them.
But tRump and his junta make a joke of everything I and others like me have done with our careers.
Isn't it ironic that benedict dumbald rages about White House leaks when HE'S the leaker?
Friends, every last one of these traitors from orange twAtler on down through and possibly including Orrin Hatch deserve to be impeached and prosecuted to the full extent of the law for taking PEWtin's money and unblinkingly doing his bidding.
Like destroying NATO in one short visit from one stubby-fingered ugly (and fat) American.
I am so mad I could spit nails--preferably right in the orange, loofa-faced shitgibbon's orange loofa face.
GRRRRRRR!!!!!
SMH.
Srsly, friends--there are no words. Can we as a nation even recover from all the destruction that tRump and the Greedy Oligarch PEWtin dickheads are wreaking on us all day every day?
I wonder.
With that nasty thot, allow me to slawg on with le blawg.
Have you ever noticed how tRump's twitter rants coincide with PEWtin's press releases?
Why, it's almost as if PEWtin is pulling tRump's strings and telling him what to say when!

Business Insider: Reaction to Jared Kushner backchannel plan with Russia
"'This is off the map': Former intelligence officials say the reported Kushner-Russia plan is unlike anything they've ever seen."
Here's an excerpt:
Scott Olson, a recently retired FBI agent who ran counterintelligence operations and spent more than 20 years at the bureau, agreed that it is not unusual for low-level staffers to work between governments and bypass bureaucracy to exchange views and build consensus in advance of higher-level negotiations.
But what Kushner appears to have done is "substantially different, in two ways," he said.
"First, he is not seeking a back-channel for a low-level staff exchange," Olson said. "He wants high-level direct-contact communication. This is extremely dangerous because it results in verbal (and therefore undocumented and unwitnessed) agreements, which are binding on governments. Free governments do not work this way. They can't. If they do, they are no longer free."
Here's another excerpt:
"GOOD GRIEF. This is serious," Robert Deitz, a veteran of the NSA and the CIA who worked under the Clinton and Bush administrations, said in an email of the latest developments.
"This raises a bunch of problematic issues. First, of course, is the Logan Act, which prohibits private individuals conducting negotiations on behalf of the US government with foreign governments. Second, it tends to reinforce the notion that Trump's various actions about Comey do constitute obstruction."
"In other words, there is now motive added to conduct," Deitz said. "This is a big problem for the President."
Still not convinced that this is a Big Fucking Deal? Here's one last excerpt...then go click through and read the whole article.
"If you are in a position of public trust, and you talk to, meet, or collude with a foreign power" while trying to subvert normal state channels, "you are, in the eyes of the FBI and CIA, a traitor," said Glenn Carle, a former top counterterrorism official at the CIA for more than two decades. "That is what I spent my life getting foreigners to do with me, for the US government." [emphasis mine]

Business Insider: Michael Hayden: Kushner meeting why Trump officials were 'unmaksed'
Teaser: "Former CIA Director: 'Now we know' why Trump officials talking to the Russians may have been 'unmasked.'"
Excerpts:
Michael Hayden, the former director of the NSA and the CIA, told CNN on Saturday that the reported content of Jared Kushner's conversations with Russia's ambassador in December may have motivated former national security adviser Susan Rice to request his name to be unmasked in intelligence reports.
And this, regarding Kushner's request for the covert communications channel to the Kremlin:
Kislyak reportedly passed along that request to Moscow, in a phone call that was promptly intercepted by US intelligence agencies during their routine eavesdropping of foreign agents on US soil. Kislyak's call, which apparently described an attempt to bypass the US' national security and intelligence apparatus, would have gone into an intelligence report and been distributed among top government officials like Rice.
It also would have raised a big red flag, Hayden said. He was unequivocal when asked if he would have sought to unmask the US person cited by Kislyak as having proposed a secret backchannel to Russia.
"Oh my, yes," Hayden told Business Insider on Saturday. "Anyone would have."

- Axios
- Bloomberg
- Breitbart because duh--according to AlterNet, Howard Dean Lends Voice to Consumer Activist Group Hitting Breitbart in the Wallet—And It's Working
- CNN
- FOX because of course
- MSNBC (includes Joe Scarborough, but Rachel Maddow and Chris Hayes may still be OK as long as their corporate overlords allow it)
- NBC (they also have the reality TV show conflict of interest--and they just hired a couple of FUX Noise escapees, so beware a hard swing to the far, far right)
- POLITICO--their top editor(s) went and paid to party with trump, so now more and more trump propaganda has been showing up there, to my infinite disgust
