Boehner Calls Middle Class Tax Cut Vote "Chicken Crap"

December 2, 2010--House minority leader and prospective Speaker of the House John Boehner (R-Ohio) called the vote on a permanent extension of middle class tax cuts "chicken crap" Thursday.

This was a straight up vote either for tax cuts for the lower and middle class or against the cuts. No distractions from unrelated riders, amendments or earmarks. No excuses or voodoo spin doctors claiming a vote against riders, amendments or earmarks. This is the way all tax and appropriations bills should be voted on so the voter can make a clear choice a legislators stand on issues. It's not politics, it's a clear ethical choice.

Why are these cry-babies whining so loud? They control the House next month and they can bring their own taxing plan for a vote. The priority of the Republican Party has been stripped bare. It is the party for the rich. It can't hide behind the sham of voting on a bill that benefits the rich under the excuse of voting for "lower and middle class taxpayers." The curtain has been pulled aside to expose the charlatan's tricks.

Why do these incredibly arrogant and insolent Republicans  for the rich and powerful get away with statements like Boehner's? If a Democrat had made such a comment about some truly chicken crap Republican proposals, the right-wing media gong show would be raising holy hell and the corporate mainstream media would have joined in. Boehner is mad because the Democrats are showing up the Republicans and revealing that the Republicans are only interested in servicing the rich and big business, including multinational corporations. Harry Reid and the Senate Democrats will call up a vote on the same legislation and force the Republicans to actually filibuster.
