We must say our gentle good-byes to 26-year old Kayla Mueller...her bright, expectant smile will shine no more...not for the Jordanian or Syrian women and children she wanted so much to help...or for her mom and dad back here in Prescott. It appears Kayla was a modern-day Florence Nightingale, wanting nothing more than attempt to make right some of the meanness and destruction we insist on inflicting on each other.

Bobby Jindal

Here's the fun thing about this being my blog...I get to post whatever grabs my imagination...and right now my sights are fixed on Piyush (Bobby) Jindal, the Governor of Louisiana.

Bobby Jindal--Congressional grim reaper was born in 1971.

This creepy Republican governor of  Louisiana was the first Indian-American (and we're talking about the subcontinent here) to hold such a position in US history, and a possible children's television show host...did I say television show host?

He chose the nickname Bobby based on the youngest son on The Brady Bunch.

He was constantly touted in the media as the new face of the GOP and was believed to be a 2012 front runner for their nomination (barring the 2012 apocalypse), having since declined to run.

A former Hindu, he converted to Roman Catholicism and took the Church's stance on  birth control
and abortion. (Oh joy, another know-it-all asshole who doesn't know what the phuck he's talking about. These prix are starting to make me angry.)

Many Americans got their first look at the governor when he addressed the nation after President  Obama's speech trying to sell his recovery plan to the American people.

Jindal is certainly a part of the War on Science since he believes that volcano monitoring is a form of political pork.
