The SNAP Program

SNAP offers nutrition assistance to millions of eligible, low income individuals and families as well as provide  economic benefits to communities.

SNAP is the largest program in the domestic hunger safety net. 

The Food and Nutrition Service works with State agencies, nutrition educators, and neighborhood and faith-based organizations to ensure that those eligible for nutrition assistance can make informed decisions about applying for the program and access benefits.

FNS also works with State partners and the retail community to improve program administration and ensure program integrity.

Why would Republicans continually vote against this program and at the same time vote against abortion?

Are they looking for an overpopulated, hungry constituancy?

There have been reports of individuals placing ads on the internet, sometimes located on the side of legitimate articles, offering assistance for filling out SNAP applications. (hmm, Probably Republicans).

The links will take you to another website where you may be asked to provide personal information, including credit card information. DO NOT provide this information. 

It can be used to allow others to make unauthorized purchases on your credit card, or gain access to your bank accounts.

If you see any ad on the internet offering SNAP application assistance with a corresponding link, do not click on it.

Never provide personal information, including credit card information on an insecure Web Site.

SNAP employees or service providers will never ask you for credit card information or any information not on your State Agency application.
