Yet another ~daily mass shooting...NRA and GOP ammosexuals had yet another great big orgasm today--their finest achievement; they must be so proud--and I'm madder than hell...!

Can you tell that I am really disgusted and pissed off as hell at the pro-death Republican party?

What the hell are we going to do about all the white-on-white crime? It's clear that white men are just sub-human savages...incapable of respecting life or living in society like civilized human beings.

The Las Vegas shooter was just such a white male. I'll bet he was a Republican*, probably a Christian**, and I want to know where he was radicalized.

I want to know why the Republicans and the Christians--all of them white males--didn't police their own and turn the bastard in before he could murder over 50 people and injure over 500.

Why are they so silent--complicit much?

Oh, you know they're celebrating.

Every time an innocent American gets shot, Wayne LaPierre has a screaming orgasm.

This mass shooting was so good that the entire NRA and the entire Republican party had screaming orgasms along with him--the sick fucks.

As I tweeted earlier, Senator Dean Heller, the NRA, tRUmp, and the entire pro-death GOP must be thrilled and feeling a real sense of accomplishment today.

Excuse me while I vomit.

One thing I can tell you: the Las Vegas shooter was not some "lone wolf."

He was a terrorist.

And he was aided, abetted, and well supported by a YUGE, long-established network of terrorists:
  • FOX News and other right-wing fake news that glorify gun culture, spread misinformation about gun regulation and statistics, and condone mass shootings
  • Pence and the rest of the evangelicals, who are obsessed with regulating vaginas because abortions are "evil" but who refuse to regulate guns because mass murder is just peachy
  • The pro-death Republican party who claim that access to food, water, medical care, and shelter are privileges rather than universal human rights and who do nothing but make guns easier to get, deny there's any problem, and refuse to enact common-sense restrictions--let alone make ammunition harder to get or legislate for all gun owners to carry liability insurance
  • tRUmp, who repealed legislation to prevent the mentally ill from getting guns too easily and who thinks that a protest against police brutality intended to save innocent lives is "worse" than murdering his fellow Americans in Puerto Rico by starving them of help and supplies
  • The NRA, who push all the guns and bigotry and fear and who drive all the pro-gun, pro-death legislation as top Republican donors
  • Rank-and-file Republican voters who keep putting the murderous bastards into office, including the rubes who keep voting Republican despite their desire as NRA members to enact common-sense background checks and restrictions
  • All the motherfuckers who protest-vote or stay home and let Republicans win instead of helping us sane people elect good Democrats because they'd rather just watch it all burn
  • The corporate media who insist on glorifying and deifying mass murderers with breathless 24/7 coverage
  • The culture that--thanks to Republicans and the corporate media that love them--devalues life to the point that our government values money and displays of respect for a song and a piece of cloth more than it values the Constitution as the law of the land, let alone the lives and welfare of actual human beings
I can understand why LGBTQ+-hating Republicans wouldn't condemn the mass shooting of 50 innocent people at the Pulse nightclub--they're all closeted, so they managed to pretend that such a massacre doesn't affect them personally. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I find it harder to stomach just how comfortable and content Republicans were with the mass shooting of 20 innocent children at Sandy Hook. If they weren't ready to stand up for the children, whom they deify by enforcing their birth, then for whom will they ever stand up? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Hell, Republicans didn't even stand up when one of their own--Representative Steve Scalise--was critically injured by a white male terrorist's gunshot. Scalise, who just returned to work after months in the hospital and rehabilitation, was "one minute away from death" and is lucky to be alive, but, hey, it's all good as long as the NRA is happy, right? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I won't ask what it's going to take to get Republicans' attention and get them to stand up for life and against guns--if it ain't happened yet, it ain't gonna happen. Like tRUmp, Republicans show us over and over and over again exactly who they are, and it's up to us to listen.

But, if you've been following le blawg long enough to get the least little sense of who I am, you already know where I'm headed: I hate illustrating a problem without also suggesting a potential solution or three.

So, here's how I think we need to get started toward solving this one.

First, like Japan and Switzerland--both of which have ridiculously low homicide rates compared to ours--we need to start regulating ammunition. Although, at a minimum, I still support Joe Biden's idea of outlawing high-volume clips--the Pulse shooter was stopped while he was reloading--I realize that it's not a complete solution: someone I follow on Twitter says that, if you're experienced with a gun, it doesn't matter whether you have fewer cartridges with more bullets each or more cartridges with fewer bullets each. In Japan, you have to return spent cartridges to get new ones, and, even then, it's not as easy as walking into Wal-Mart to buy whatever you want. In Switzerland, you can only access ammunition during active military service. The Swiss were quick to figure out something Republicans strenuously deny: if you give men free access to guns and ammunition, they are going to shoot their domestic partners because they can.

Second, even though you can 3D-print a gun, there's still no reason not to implement common-sense regulations, like 100% background checks, qualifying courses, safety training, liability insurance, licensing, fees, waiting periods, extremely limited numbers of highly regulated sellers, and so on. Despite strenuous Republican denials, it really is easier to kill someone with a gun than with a knife or rope or poison or whatever. Studies show that fewer guns = fewer gun deaths. It's important to institute all these measures not only on those who want to buy guns but also on those who want to buy ammunition. I also think that everyone who wants to buy a gun or ammunition should have to tour the gunshot ward of a hospital and watch the emergency room care for gunshot victims--like how Republicans make women who want abortions listen to inaccurate bullshit, except that this information would be factual, important, and deadly real. And if the ammosexuals bitch, they can just STFU and be grateful that this isn't Japan, where the background search to get a gun sounds like the equivalent of getting a top secret government clearance here, if not even more stringent. Heh, maybe we can give them anal probes, which would be no less useful than the transvaginal ultrasounds Republicans want to force on women who want abortions.

Third, as a society, we really need to start teaching empathy. We need to teach potential shooters empathy so that they learn to view their fellow human beings as such, and we need to teach empathy so that those who encounter potential shooters learn to spot warning signs and learn how to help. We need a system like the suicide hotline for those inclined to shoot and those who think they might know someone who might be inclined to shoot. We do know that domestic abuse and domestic violence constitute a prime indicator: there is a high correlation between perpetrators of domestic violence and of mass shootings.

Last but not least, VOTE. Vote, vote, vote, vote, vote. Vote in EVERY SINGLE election--local, state, and federal. Vote in every primary and every general election. Vote for your local dog catcher up through your local sheriff and delegates up through your state representatives and senators to the United States Congress up through the president.

Friends, I can't stress this enough. We must vote in every primary because, if we don't, only the extremes who religiously vote in primaries will have their voices heard. That's how middle-of-the-road Americans get shut out--and then they stay home from the general election because they don't like their choices. And that's how you end up with a Roy Moore or a tRUmp in office.

We have to vote in droves to overcome GOP voter suppression and gerrymandering--for each of us they suppress, at least two of us have to get through and vote.

So get out there and register and VOTE--no exceptions!

And if you don't like your choices, then vote for the Democrat and run for office yourself next time!

Whew.

You know what's really sick?

By closing women's clinics and enforcing misinformation, gag rules, outrageous costs, and impossible return trips and delays for getting birth control or an abortion, Republicans make it harder for a woman to control what happens to her own body than for a mass shooter to waltz into a Wal-Mart or gun show and buy a gun and bullets and control what happens to your body.

OK, dear ones--that's it for me today. I had to bring home work this evening, and now I have to get back tuit because I have one helluva deadline tomorrow...I've landed from last week's frying pan into this week's fire. Ah well. Hopefully, I can grab a Fireball and some chocolate before I hit the hay tonight...but I have a long way to go before then.

Wish me luck!
