DO NOT OBEY--AND DO *NOT* OBEY IN ADVANCE

Fascist authoritarian regimes like madame (vice) president donald(ina) jessica trump (who declared all Americans female by executive order) absolutely rely on striking fear into the populace.

They intend to create chaos and terrorize every marginalized population they're convinced is too small or too weak to fight back. 

Their goal is to frighten us into submission lest we make our situation worse.

Their goal is to steal our joy so that we give up.

The minute we give in to fear or despair, they win.

They win because we have obeyed--usually before they even do a single thing to us personally.

They win because we have obeyed in advance.

Friends, don't let them win. 

Do NOT comply; do NOT obey--especially in advance.

Do NOT let them scare or terrorize you, no matter what they do.

I say this because there is opportunity in everything. 

All we have to do is keep the faith and keep our eyes open for it.

DON'T let them steal your joy. As the song says, I'm living my life like it's golden.

Why?

BECAUSE IT IS.
