If Trump wins, what will you do when he comes for YOU?

Greetings, fellow Dot Calm Readers, Freedom Fighters, and Truth Crusaders!

As promised, here's my usual Wednesday post after live-blawgging the dEEbate (I've posted the live-blawg below this post)! Friends, thanks for keeping me company...otherwise, I would NOT have had the stomach to watch Donald "PITIFUL LOSER" Trump lie, blather, insult, and piss away 90 minutes of my life. Couldn't've done it without you! NBC had a few comments after the debate, all very pithy. Hillary ducked a couple questions and got dinged a couple of times, but BOY did she cream Donald. What a mor00n. She really brought out Donald's habitual behavior, and Chris Wallace brought out several of Donald's lies with leading questions. Hillary won hands-down, no contest, and Chris Wallace did yeoman's work moderating this debate, which NBC said was the best performance both candidates had. But now, after I click "publish" on this post, I'm going to pour me a well-deserved Fireball. I'll analyze and comment more on the debate Friday, but, if you'll forgive me, I've had more than enough fun for now.

---

If you do nothing else this week, scroll down to and watch the Keith Olbermann video "You’re Lying to Yourself if You Think Trump is the Answer" in todaze m00bies.

It reminded me of Martin Niemöller's famous quotation:

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

Like the Germans in the 1930s, those of us who feel vindicated by Donald Trump's treatment of "other" don't realize that the ugly orange rabid dog is going to bite the hand that feeds it--it's just a matter of time.

Are we so vindictive that we don't mind being taken down as long as we can watch everyone we hate get taken down first?

What kind of nation are we really? Are we caring and humane--inclusive and compassionate toward those who look or act different from us? Do we care only about ourselves--do we not care how many little people get trampled by the oligarchs as long as we personally don't suffer? Or are we so angry that we're ready just to nuke everything and everyone out of existence just for the fun of watching it all vaporize and go up in smoke?

I ask again: what kind of nation are we really?

Donald Trump's sexual assault
isn't about how many Americans
have female family members
or relationships with women.
It's about whether or not
women are fully human
sovereign beings
with rights over their own bodies
including the same bodily autonomy
men take for granted every day.
Rights not to have your body
 grabbed, groped, raped
or otherwise used against your will.
For some reason,
Republicans find this issue challenging.
They want the answer to be "no"
so badly they can taste it
but they know the answer is "yes"
because they'd never tolerate
being treated the way
they insist on treating women.

CREDO action
Call MGM: Release Donald Trump’s off-air recordings from "The Apprentice"
MGM has a responsibility to release all footage they have of Trump’s off-air remarks during the filming of "The Apprentice", so that the American people have all the information available to make an informed vote on Nov. 8. Can you make a call to MGM today to demand they release the recordings?
Click below for a sample script and the number to call:
Take action now ►

------------------------------------------------

Don't feel like clicking the CREDO link? Here's the information from UltraViolet.

After hearing that MGM may have even WORSE footage exposing Trump as a sexual predator and a racist, 71,000 UltraViolet members, including you, demanded it release the tapes.1

We don't have much time to convince this studio to stop protecting Trump--Americans are already casting their votes. MGM is being hounded by the press for protecting this never-before-seen footage of Trump. Calls from viewers could push MGM over the edge and convince executives to release the tapes.

There are just a few weeks left until Election Day--can you make a call right now?

Here's the phone number for MGM: (310) 449-3000
If you can't reach a person or the office isn't open yet, leave a voicemail.

After you call, can you tell us how it went?

It's always best to speak in your own words, but here are some points to guide you:

  • If MGM has tapes that reveal more about Donald Trump's history of sexual assault, voters have a right to see them before Election Day.
  • Your company has a moral obligation to provide the truth about a candidate running for president.
  • Time is running out--Election Day is only a few weeks away.
  • Almost a dozen women have accused Trump of sexual assault. Right now, it looks like MGM is protecting a sexual predator.

Let us know how it went.

Thank you for speaking out.

Friends of Bernie Sanders

Republican Speaker of the House Paul Ryan issued a very dire warning this week. You need to see it:

"If we lose the Senate, do you know who becomes chair of the Senate Budget Committee? A guy named Bernie Sanders. You ever heard of him?"

You heard the man. Let's take back the Senate.

Four of our best opportunities to take back the Senate are in Nevada, New Hampshire, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania. Each race is incredibly close. But if the Democratic nominees win, we will have a far more progressive Senate – and a majority to enact our progressive agenda.

The final FEC fundraising deadline of the campaign is Wednesday at midnight. Split a contribution now between Catherine Cortez Masto, Maggie Hassan, Deborah Ross, and Katie McGinty before tomorrow's deadline.

How close are these races? The latest poll averages have Deborah Ross down by just two points in North Carolina. In Nevada, Catherine Cortez Masto is up by two. Maggie Hassan is down by a little more than two points in New Hampshire. And in the tightest race of all, Katie McGinty is up by less than a half percent in Pennsylvania.

Four Senate seats we need for a majority. Four dedicated leaders who could serve with Bernie Sanders. At most a two percent difference in the polls for every race.
Your contributions can be the difference between victory and defeat in each of these elections. Small-dollar contributions from emails like this can push Catherine Cortez Masto, Deborah Ross, Maggie Hassan, and Katie McGinty over the top on election day.

With tomorrow's FINAL fundraising deadline for the FEC, the time is now for us to step up and help take back a Senate majority.

You can make the difference in this election to take back a Senate majority. Thank you.

In solidarity,

Jeff Weaver
Team Bernie

Daily Kos--Volunteer to STOP TRUMP

I'm tired of talking about Donald Trump. I'm tired of his politics, of his hatefulness, of his lack of vision and experience.

So today, let's stop talking about him. Let's talk about us.

What are you voting for this election? Are you casting your ballot to advocate for women? Do you want a Congress that will stand up to corporate polluters? Are you ready for a liberal Supreme Court? Do you want a fair tax system?

Every election is another opportunity to vote our values. Despite its challenges, this one is no different. We are voting and turning out voters because we see the country as it can be and are willing to do the work to make our vision a reality.

Can you set aside time to help reach out to voters in critical swing states? THANK YOU! Click here to sign up for your volunteer shift.

Can't volunteer but still want to help? Chip in $3 to the Daily Kos Get Out The Vote Fund.

Over the next 21 days, we will be contacting millions of voters in key swing states including Ohio, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire. These states will not only influence the presidential election and the Supreme Court but also key Senate and House races. Voter by voter, we can elect the future in our dreams.

To reach that goal, we need your help calling and texting voters. Our friends at NextGen Climate have made it easier than ever to make a difference from wherever you are located. Training and support are provided. Will you join us during these final critical weeks?

Click here to be redirected to NextGen Climate and Daily Kos' volunteer sign-up page. Once you are signed-up, you will receive information about how to connect and who you are calling.

From Avaaz--SMS SOS: STOP TRUMP!

Hundreds have signed up in days to text voters in Swing States! See below for how to get involved in the final sprint toward Election Day:

The most important thing anyone can do to stop Trump is to get more progressive people voting in critical swing states. And there’s a way for us to help make that happen, by simply texting!

LEARN MORE HERE

Dear friends,

The single most important thing anyone can do to stop Trump is to get more people voting in critical swing states. And there’s a way for us to help make that happen, by simply texting.

It’s never been done before this election, but it was called Bernie Sanders' "secret weapon" for recruiting tons of volunteers. And we have just days to get started!

US Avaazers can gather now on special teams that text other progressive Americans and recruit them to election events, helping make sure that everyone votes in the places where races could be decided by just a few thousand people. Click below to learn more about joining the team and trying this amazing new tool:

Sign up to learn more!

Watching Trump get so close to the presidency without being able to do anything to stop it can be both terrifying and frustrating. Especially for those of us who don’t live in battleground states. And phone calling can be depressing, when only a few people answer after an hour of work.

This is so different! Texting takes less time, doesn’t require any calling, and is more effective at reaching the voters who can turn the election. And Avaaz is working with MoveOn to supercharge this effort, so each of us can join an already humming community of volunteers.

You’ll get everything you need to jump right in -- thorough training, a community and support team in a chat room you can access on your phone, desktop app, or web browser, and a contact list when you’re ready to get started. And because the app doesn't use any text messages on your plan -- just data or wifi -- you can recruit tons and tons of people at no extra cost.

Sign up to learn more!

We’ve worked together for weeks to help every American abroad vote in this election, and it’s brought in thousands of new voters to swing state races -- helping to keep Trump far away from the White House. But helping people who live right in the middle of the biggest battles for our country’s future is a way to multiply our impact tenfold.

Excited to get started together!

Emma, Rewan, Adam, Andrew, Joseph and the Avaaz US elections team

From Daily Kos--Call Obama and stand up for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe: NO DAPL!

After six months of protests the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe, joined by hundreds of tribal nations, are still relentlessly fighting to protect their land and water from the Dakota Access oil pipeline. President Obama has responded to unprecedented tribal solidarity and organizing with half measures, and this dangerous pipeline keeps growing.

The Administration refused to authorize construction for a small portion of the 1,172-mile pipeline route and promised more consultation with tribal nations in the future. Meanwhile, peaceful protesters are constantly harassed and arrested, and journalists are targeted by police for their coverage of the protests.

Nearly 100,000 Daily Kos members have signed a petition urging President Obama to stop the Dakota Access pipeline. Half measures will not do. It's time to raise our voices and put even more pressure on the White House.

Call President Obama today and urge him to take bold, decisive action: Stop all construction on the Dakota Access pipeline. Here is a sample script:

White House phone number:
202-456-1111

Hello my name is _______. I'm calling to urge President Obama to stop all construction on the Dakota Access pipeline. This pipeline will leak oil in drinking water supplies, as it destroys important Native American sites. We need the President to stand for people and the environment, not protect big oil company profits.

After calling the White House, click here to tell us how it went.

Can't call? Then click here to sign and send a letter to President Obama, urging him to stop the destructive Dakota Access pipeline once and for all.

From Food & Water Watch via Daily Kos--Stop the Bayer-Monsanto merger

Bayer and Mosanto are attempting to merge. The deal would create a new corporate giant in the already consolidated market for seeds and agricultural chemicals, leaving farmers with fewer options and higher prices.

Which is why federal regulators need to block the merger. Sign the petition if you agree!

A Bayer-Monsanto merger would increase the amount of control that just a few companies have over the basic building blocks of our food system.

The current level of control of the seed market, documented by the DOJ and USDA during the 2010 workshops on competition in agriculture markets, is already too high, and this merger will make things worse.

Sign if you agree: Federal regulators need to block the proposed Bayer-Monsanto merger!

Sincerely,
Food & Water Watch

Just Foreign Policy

U.N. special envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh Ahmed has announced [1] there is agreement for a 72-hour ceasefire in Yemen that will take effect shortly before midnight Wednesday, and that the ceasefire may be renewed, hopefully to be made permanent.

This is happening, in significant measure, because of Administration pressure on Saudi Arabia - the announcement came days after Administration officials threatened [2] that future U.S. military aid to Saudi Arabia would be contingent on Saudi agreement to an immediate and unconditional ceasefire. Administration pressure is happening, in significant measure, because of Congressional pressure. And Congressional pressure is happening, in significant measure, because of public pressure on Congress. So, everyone who took action to urge Congress to put pressure on U.S. participation in the Saudi war in Yemen can take some share of the credit.

We're not done, obviously. We must remain vigilant to make sure that the ceasefire happens, that it is extended, that it is made permanent. If the ceasefire collapses, we must be ready to apply pressure to restore the ceasefire.

But: we're making progress. A ceasefire will save lives. It will allow the safe passage of humanitarian aid. It will help prepare conditions for a political and diplomatic resolution of the conflict. So, thank you for taking action.

And thanks for all you do to help make U.S. foreign policy more just.

VoteVets

Tonight, mercifully, is the final debate of the presidential campaign. With any luck, it will be the last time Donald Trump has a national stage to drag the democracy so many of us signed up to defend through the mud.

Donald Trump is talking a lot about "fraud" these days. It's loser talk.

The truth is, Trump is so far down in the polls right now because of the work VoteVets, and many others, have done to expose him as the actual fraud in this race. His fraudulent claims to support veterans charities, and, of course, his sham university that defrauded veterans and military family members out of their money.

But ultimately, it's Trump's defense of Putin and desire to send our troops into more endless conflicts while stripping them of the care they've earned when they return that has done him in. And no one has done more than VoteVets to make that case clear.

We can't risk a Trump presidency. And even though he's down, we have to see this fight through to the end. The stakes are too high to take any other approach. And that's why I have to ask:

There's supposed to be a 15 minute segment of the debate on foreign policy -- the final block of the debate. And whatever dangerous rhetoric Trump spouts in that segment, we'll be ready to make him pay. That's why your contribution matters.

All my best,

Urge President Obama to name, shame, and sanction actors who specifically contribute to the use of Russian cluster bombs in Syria.

Take Action

On June 16, 204 Members of the House of Representatives voted to ban the U.S. transfer of cluster bombs to Saudi Arabia, which has used them in civilian areas of Yemen, in violation of U.S. law. The Obama Administration has said that it has stopped the transfer of cluster bombs to Saudi Arabia. The U.S. company that produced these bombs, Textron, has announced that it is getting out of the cluster bomb business, citing Administration and Congressional opposition to U.S. exports.

The current Russian-Syrian offensive in eastern Aleppo has used Russian cluster bombs. Unfortunately, the U.S., like Russia and Syria, has still not signed the Cluster Munitions Convention, banning the use, production, stockpiling and transfer of these weapons. But the U.S. can still act to uphold and reinforce the international norm against these weapons even though the U.S. is not yet a party to the Convention, as the U.S. did when it stopped shipping them to Saudi Arabia.

Urge President Obama to stigmatize the use of Russian cluster bombs in Syria by signing and sharing our petition.

The "Textron" of Russia is the Russian bomb maker Bazalt. Current U.S. policy allows U.S. arms manufacturers to operate side-by-side with Bazalt at international "trade fairs" for arms exporters, such as Jordan's SOFEX arms expo in May. Any U.S. move to sanction Bazalt is likely to resonate internationally: the 119 countries which are parties to the Cluster Munitions Convention are bound not only not to use cluster bombs themselves, but to pursue a policy of non-cooperation with their use by others.

Urge President Obama to stigmatize the use of Russian cluster bombs in Syria by signing and sharing our petition.

Holy shee-ite!!! Remember Hillary's 1998-vintage remark about the "vast right-wing conspiracy"? Well, it wasn't vast, but it was a conspiracy...and wait til you see who's in it and what mischief they're up to now!

Last segment (oh, thank Atheist Gawd--my brain was about to start bleeding out my earz!!!)

    Debt and GDP

Both plans would raise debt--Chris is right that Donald's "plan" would raise the debt MORE--so why have both candidates ignored this question?

Donald is giving his usual bullshit, vague, non-informative answer. Talk about blather. This is 90 minutes of my life I'll never get back...just because I love y'all, my readers, enough to watch this asshole so you don't have to. Srsly, all Donald needs is a silk top-hat and a magic wand because he seems to think that that's the answer to everything.

Hillary's turn. Good for her--she's reminding us that Donald was criticizing Reagan, too. She asks when did Donald think America was great? Hillary says she wouldn't add a penny to the national debt--Donald didn't even answer the question. She takes the question seriously. Ah! She wants to see middle-out growth. That would be so, so great. Get the middle class growing again. Donald is now trying to moderate the debate!! Too funny!!

    Chris, cut Donald's mic!!

Chris says that the biggest driver of our debt is entitlements and that neither candidate has a solution.

Would Donald save Social Security and Medicare? Donald is cow-shitting, and Chris stopped him. Donald wants to repeal and "replace" Obamacare. More blather. Amazing how much oxygen the man can waste producing ZERO information out of his mouth. Amazing.

Hillary's turn--Social Security and Medicare. Will she try to save both programs? Of course she will, by raising taxes on the wealthy. Ha--nice one, Hillary--zing him about trying to get out of paying his taxes. And Donald had the nerve to call her "nasty" when he's been LYING, interrupting, and being a huge ASSHOLE. Hillary says she will not cut benefits and that Obamacare is helping keep Medicare solvent. I hope so.

Chris wants to end on a positive note--he wants one minute from each for closing statements.

Hillary's statement on why we should elect her: we need everyone to make America work. And she will stand up for children and families, which is exactly what she's done her whole political career. And NO lie.

Donald's statement on why we should elect him: criticizing Hillary for something she didn't do; criticizing our military; teachers, cops, inner cities...all negative. He says he'll help Blacks--but he hasn't said one positive thing that would help anyone but him. Oh, and Hillary is O'Bama's third term
    --BRING IT ON!!

Chris thanked Donald (and Hillary, but that was never in question) for participating in all three debates! Oh, and he asks us all to VOTE.

Thanks, Chris Wallace--you did us proud.

And now Hillary is down off the stage, milling in the crowd. Donald is standing like cardboard, waiting for his family to come up to him.

...and NOW, my dad says, I can haz Fireball!

    -----

    Foreign hot spots.

U.S. troops into Mosul? Hillary says NO as an occupying force because she sees it as a red flag for ISIS to re-form itself. She wants an intel surge--GOOD. She wants to keep terrorists from buying guns here--no fly, no buy. GOOD.

Donald is doing his usual vague, breathless answer...again accusing Hillary of doing things as if she had been in office the whole time. SHE HASN'T. Gawd, he sounds like such a MORON. I feel sorry for Melania for having to listen to him at "home."

She's under his skin because he's LYING again--this time, about supporting Bush's Iraq invasion. Damn, she understands that Mosul is Sunni. Donald doesn't even know what Sunni is. Oh good--she's bringing up his conspiracy theories. And his "unshackled" bullshit.

Donald thinks he's winning with his "zingers." He made the mistake of bringing up Bernie, and she just CLOBBERED him with what Bernie says about Donald! I'm shocked that Donald didn't just fall over and start crying.

Aleppo--Chris is reminding us that Donald LIED. And Donald won't even let Chris ask the damn question. Chris asked Donald to clarify his lies remarks. And now Donald is cow-shitting...not answering the question. Hm. Oh, and the partial half-sentences. He is so clueless--he can't even make a cogent argument for anything.

She's laughing again at his stupidity. No duh.

No fly zone over Aleppo? That's right, Chris--how do you do that without starting WWIII with Russia? Hillary says she'd negotiate with Russia and Syria--not a unilateral decision--to keep the people on the ground safe and help fight ISIS. That makes sense. Oh, good--she's talking about domestic radicalization. Good job, Hillary--it's a point Donald doesn't know what to do with because his brain is too simplistic.

Hey, Donald--your Republican buddies, Cheney and GWB, started ISIS. Not Hillary or Obama. REPUBLICANS did it.

    -----

    Fitness for president.

Chris Wallace is asking about 9 allegations from women on Donald's sexual assault.

Donald is LYING that the stories have all been debunked and that he doesn't know any of "those people." Oh, ha--he's blaming Obama for what HE HIMSELF does to incite violence at his own rallies. LOOK AT THAT FACE--he is LYING!!!!!

    SNIFF

Wow. I can't believe Donald is LYING like that. Just wow.

OH SNAP--he's LYING about saying that the women weren't attractive enough for him to assault. BUT HE'S ON TAPE saying these things!!!!

Celebrate our diversity, she says. Wow, wouldn't that be great?!

HA--Donald's trotting out his "nobody has more respect for women than I do," and the audience laughed. Because of course they did! And, of course, he's trying to distract SNIFF to her e-mails. SNIFF. SNIFF.

GOOD--she's calling him out on denying responsibility for everything he's said and done. Oh, and he just LIED about mocking the disabled reporter!! She's going after him for every rotten thing he's said this whole shitty campaign--a pattern of divisiveness, inciting violence...GOOD FOR HER. Oh, look at his shit face. What a LIAR.

Chris is asking about special access via the Clinton Foundation. She's not answering the question. Is it pay for play? She won't answer it! Ugh--this is the first real stumble on her part. And yet I've seen articles saying that there's no proof of pay to play. Why didn't she just answer the damn question? GOOD--she reminded us that Donald uses his foundation money to buy portraits of himself.

OH SHIT--Donald just LIED that he donates his own money and that he gives money to veterans. Chris just fact-checked him, saying that Donald uses his foundation money to pay his own legal fees!

And Hillary JUST reminded us that Donald does not pay taxes...but immigrants DO.

I wish Chris could cut off Donald's microphone because he won't shut his yap. And Hillary JUST ZAPPED Donald for using Chinese crap in his hotel!

Oh, good--Chris is asking Donald about accepting the election results. OH SNAP--Donald will NOT promise to accept the election results! And the rambling partial sentences again. And the LIES about millions on the voter rolls illegally. Good for Chris Wallace--he's actually sanely discussing the "peaceful hand-over" of power. And Donald WILL NOT agree to accept the election results. Now Hillary is going after ALL of Donald's accusations that things are "rigged" whenever something, anything goes against him! Even the Emmies! Holy CRAP!!

The Loretta Lynch meeting on the tarmac with Bill remark got Donald some illicit applause from the audience.

    -----

    The economy.

Again, a very thorough, complete answer from Hillary on green energy, fair pay, education, and all the other goodies that make a strong economy happen. Including fair taxes. Go, Hillary! Oh, and she's talking about how Donald's "plan" will COST millions of jobs--trickle down on steroids...only Donald wants to piss on our heads and tell us it's trickling down.

Oh, wow--Donald's LYING that Hillary's plan will double our taxes. LIE. You can look it up for yourself. And now he's both cow-shitting (answering the wrong question) and making it all about him again.

    And, again, no complete sentences.

    SNIFF again!

Oh, and he's blaming Hillary for Bill's SNIFF NAFTA. SNIFF, SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF SNIFF
(too many SNIFFs to take the time to punctuate without missing something)

    She's laughing again!

Oh, Donald is such an idiot with his moronic interruptions. SNIFF.

And Hillary is fact-checking Donald's tax plan and reminding us how Bill gave us a budget surplus.

Aww, she's being nice to the Bush administration, saying they were distraught at the economic disaster they caused. That's thweet. Much classier than I would be in her shoes.

Chris Wallace is my new hero--he's telling Donald that his numbers don't add up! Thank you, Chris.

Again, Donald is so vague. No statistics, no substantiation of his assertions. Now he's talking about his new fwends. AwR. And, again, he's blaming Hillary for Bill. Donald is LYING again, and Hillary is laughing again.

OH YES--she's ZAPPING Donald on shipping jobs overseas! OH YES, she went there--Chinese aluminum and Chinese steel. GO, HILLARY!

Donald thinks Hillary is Queen and that she can do everything for the past 30 years! Too funny! LIAR. Donald doesn't know what time is. And now he's "pivoting" to a missing $6 million--what about the $9 BILLION Bush lost in Iraq? OH YES--she's nailing him on his racism in renting properties, taking money from his daddy, insulting Alicia Machado, and his moronic TV career. SHE IS GOOD.

And he's LYING about how much money he got from his daddy again--AND OH SNAP--he wants to bankrupt us and steal everything from everyone, just like he did with his companies...and right into Iraq he goes, which has nothing to do with anything.
    -----

Whoa--Chris Wallace just fact-checked Donald by confirming the 17 agencies. And Donald just LIED again about not knowing Putin.

Ho ho--she's getting under his skin again and making him interrupt. KEEP TORQUING him, Hillary! Good girl--quote the real deal saying they won't trust Donald with the nuclear codes.

    SNIFF.

    She's under his skin!

Russia and NATO were definitely not what Chris had in mind to tie up the immigration discussion. Chris is actually doing a better job than I thot he would. Good on him!

    -----

He just said "believe me," so you KNOW he just LIED.

HA--she's laughing!! He's interrupting! And Chris Wallace, although he's not fact checking, is actually moderating. Good on him.

SWEET!! She just trashed him on cheap illegal labor on his buildings! GO, HILLARY!!

Ha, he just said "bigly"...and back to his bumper stickers instead of full sentences. Ugh--"bigly" again.

    She's laughing!!

Chris Wallace is quoting WikiLeaks, and she's not letting him take her comment out of context. GOOD. And she's deflating the accuracy of WikiLeaks, as she should. Russian espionage influencing our election is bad news.

Now Donald is LYING that Hillary wants open borders. Watch his face--he's lying.

Oh shit--he just LIED about not knowing Putin!!! Donald is Putin's useful idiot. And...no full sentences. GET HIM, Hillary!! YES--she's getting under his skin. Ha--good for Hillary, saying that Donald would rather believe Putin than our own 17 agencies.

    -----

    Immigration now.

My dad said 1 bid, no Trump.

Donald again says ICE endorses him--LIE. ICE is a government agency--it does not endorse candidates.

Oh, funny--he's blaming "every problem" on Obama and Hillary. Has he forgotten she's no longer in office? He's yapping about heroine--but does he know that all the whites down in Stafford, Virginia, are all on H?

OOH--here comes the sniffling!! And the full sentences are only intermittent now.

Hillary's answer: focusing on the family, just like she did on abortion. Like evangelicals pretend they do, the shits. And she's describing what it would actually take to deport 11 million people--wish she'd be more graphic. I like her approach better--get rid of the violent people, not just dragnet everyone.

    -----

I think it's hilarious that Donald calls himself pro-life. He doesn't give a shit about anyone's life but his own. Good for Chris--he's holding Donald's feet to fire to answer the question on overturning Roe V Wade. Donald won't answer it, though.

Oh, look--Donald's pursing his fish lips while Hillary answers. But this is the most almost-human I've heard Donald. Almost full sentences. Good--she's bringing up Donald's "punishment" statement. You go, girl!

Oh, boy--Donald is going straight for graphic imagery on late-term abortion. The evangelicals are going to love that, but Hillary is not letting him get away with it. YOU GO, GIRL!

    -----

So far, rather civilized. I wonder if Donald will stay on point. Funny...he's saying that Hillary was "angry." Very hard to believe. Upset, yes; angry, I don't think so.

    Ha--good, she's calling him "Donald."

Oh, boy--he's misquoting Chicago's gun laws and gun violence. Not stats, just unsubstantiated assertions. Carly Simon's song about him should be "You're so vague."

    -----

(I decided not to timestamp the updates any more, couldja tell?...didn't want to miss anything!)

Hillary just gave a very professional and complete answer re SCOTUS.
Trump is making it about him. Cheez. And he thinks the 2nd amendment is under siege and that Hillary will not win and that, if she does, she'll gut the 2nd amendment. Damn, he's almost speaking in complete sentences. I'm shocked. Oop--there's the end of the full sentences!

    -----

Let's see if Trump's coked again...

That frown will get between me and my sleep.  :(

    -----

    9:06 update

Let's see how Chris Wallace does. He's already promised not to fact check, so follow Politico's advice and watch the candidates.

    -----

    9:04 update

We have NBC on because my dad likes it. He hadn't realized that O'Bama's half brother will be in the audience, but I've been hearing about it all day because CNN has been masturbating itself all day for the debate. Cheez.

    7:50 update

From Keystone Progress--Please retweet: Let Our Pussies GO!

    Friends, powerful women and allies-

It the midst of a horrifying election cycle...there have been beautiful bright spots generated by the inspiring work that so many of you do. Building off the momentum from Ultra Violet, MoveOn's work with survivors as well as the #WeWontWait women of color summit, and the inspiring #Vision4BlackLives -- a open brand slew of protests emerged in the past week using #GOPHandsOffMe. These actions are continuing to spark the fire that we all need to flame to end the sexist, racist, misogynistic Donald Trump...and...the GOP that created him. The grassroots uprising of women of color networks and survivors can in the form of street actions that mobilized over 10,000 women and survivors in just 72 hours to hit the street and demand #GOPHandsOffMe.

We had protests in 15 cities. Here are press clips.

To echo the protests, we also launched this beautiful & powerful project: #GOPHandsOffMe women's video series. which highlights the powerful voices of Eve Ensler, Alicia Garza, Sarah Jones, Ai-jen Poo, Heather McGhee, Edith Sargon, Nailia Arwan, DREAMER Greisa Martinez -- and many other women movement leaders. We are rolling out another dozen of these videos over the next 2 days, and would LOVE your ideas about collaboration. We see this collection of videos as movement assets we hope can be used for work from aligned organizations and partners.

This has all be a labor of love. No paid staff are working on it -- just relational organizing from our leaderful networks.

    TONIGHT

We are going to try amplify and insert the voices of these women of color and survivor leaders during the debate and beyond. To get our momentum on that rolling...we need you to help light the fire!

    THREE IMPORTANT REQUESTS FOR YOU:

    1. Light the fire: Could you please RT this tweet? We are going to do a debate push of the videos and your voice echoing that would be so so powerful. The way twitter works if there is something we all pile on to, then it will really help a hashtag trend.
    2. Fan the flames: There is an email below that you can use to forward to all your friends and trusted feminist warrioris to have them join in. Send it. Now. Please. To as many woman as you can.
    3. Jump in the fire: The Presidential debate tonight will be...atrocious. We know that. One hard thing about it is that women everywhere want the debate, this election, this country to look differently. And although there are millions of us, sometimes it's hard for us to find each other. On social media the was we connect each of our powerful voices into a sound system is to use a shared hashtag: #GOPHandsOffMe.  So, during the debate tonight -- tweet. Tweet about everything and everybody you are pissed about. Tweet about the world we deserve and the world we are creating. Let's turn the sound up so we can DROP THE FUCKING MIC on Donald Trump and his racist, sexist, misogynist ass.

We, firends...we are the fire. It is Trump vs All of Us ...  so take this Hail Mary pass from us and...

Turn it up...turn each other up.

Womyn and trusted allies.... Let's get our pussies in formation annnnnndddddd..........GO!

    With love and fire,

-Jodeen Olguín-Tayler, Cindy Weisner and Brigid Flagherty

7:30 update--yes, the debate starts at 9, but I may have commentary before the debate begins. Like this piece from Politico:

    Confessions of a Trump Fact-Checker

    I spent 33 days fact-checking 253 Donald Trump falsehoods. Here’s what I’ve learned.
