Yes, I've been busy with the 9-hour-workday-plus-three-hour-round-trip-commute job.

Yes, I've been traveling--mostly with my dad but once or twice without.

Yes, I caught another cold, but I got over it in the normal week-to-ten days--unusual for bronchitis-prone me.

Yes, my dad is still dealing with health challenges...just as he's been recovering from one set of issues I blawgged about last time, he ended up in the hospital this week with an episode of a-fib that I think may have been at least partly brought on by dehydration.

So, yes, he's in the rehab yet again, rebuilding his strength so he can come home and be independent during the day, as he's been for the ~3 years I've had the privilege of having him live with me.

So...you might think that VOTING is the last thing on our minds...

THINK AGAIN!

On Tuesday morning, as early as I can manage it, I will drive the half hour to my dad's rehab and take him to our local polling place so that we can VOTE BLUE LIKE OUR LIVES DEPEND ON IT.

I could go on, but I won't...I'm pooped from spending the week either in the hospital with my dad or in the rehab with my dad. I desperately need to catch a few z's.

All I ask is that you remember how badly my 87-year-old Democrat dad wants to VOTE BLUE--remember what an effort it is for him right now, in his condition...remember that he insists on exercising his right to vote...think of me getting yelled at at work for having to telework yet one more day so that I can take my dad and me to the polls and vote...and then GIT YER ARSE TO THE POLLS AND VOTE VOTE VOTE VOTE!
