OUR revolution's fight plan against trump

Greetings, fellow Dot Calm Readers, Freedom Fighters, and Truth Crusaders!

Today, I'm going to consolidate the fight plans I've been posting into one place for your comfort and convenience. I'll consolidate this plan even further into a to-do list on my Patreon page so that you can just go there for daily tasks.

Vox recently had an article from an ex-Congressional staffer. She said that e-mails can be ignored--staffers just lump them all together and send out form responses--but phone calls cannot. So CALL YOUR ELECTED OFFICIALS DAILY to protest trump! Don't call their D.C. offices--call their local offices. Better yet, she said--SHOW UP. Yep--if you can take off the time from work, go visit them in their local offices...the ones in your home district...and tell them your concerns. It's the best way to get their attention.

With that, here's the plan--it's Michael Moore's (as I've been posting here) condensed and enhanced with just a few tweaks from yours truly:

to FIGHT Donald LOSER trump

0. PROTECT yourself. If you need a loan, get it NOW--rates have already gone up three times since the election. MOVE your retirement out of the stock market and into a stable fund that is guaranteed NOT to lose your principal. Why? Because if trump tries to dismantle NAFTA or starts trade wars with China, we'll be in the next Great Depression before you know it--and the rich people love depressions because they really make a killing off our misfortune.

1. OBSTRUCT, OBSTRUCT, OBSTRUCT. CALL your U.S. Senators and Representatives DAILY at their LOCAL offices. Better--SHOW UP in person. Don't worry that you'll stop Republicans from helping the middle and lower classes--they haven't done anything to help us ordinary folks since Nixon.

2. STAY ANGRY. D. LOSER trump is a hateful, vindictive, abusive, misogynist, bullying, corrupt, crooked, thieving, lying, dishonest, ignorant, unqualified, unstable, unhinged, narcissistic fraud. He got into office by fomenting hate among ordinary Americans so they'd forget that it's people like him--the rich--who are the source of all our woes. His agenda is to become dictator for life. He won't rest until he's dismantled every social safety net and every institution that makes America great. He wants to deprive entire populations of Americans of their rights, and he wants to steal ALL of our tax money to enrich himself. He accuses his opponents of every shitty thing he himself does. Just keep reminding yourself of every shitty thing he said and did on the campaign trail, and keep reading which new horrors he's up to today. Don't go numb--stay pissed off and FIGHT.

3. VOLUNTEER for and DONATE to all the organizations that D. LOSER trump is targeting. Get on their mailing lists and donate as much time and money as you can to Planned Parenthood, NRDC, and causes that matter to you. Change your cell phone carrier from whatever it is to CREDO, which is a Sprint re-seller that supports blue causes. Planned Parenthood is especially important to support right now--women will die if we don't.

4. TAKE OVER the Democratic Party and return it to the people. They have failed us miserably.

5. FIRE all pundits, predictors, pollsters, and anyone else in the media who evaded reality or who call for "healing" and "unity" right now. (Editor's note: those who ultimately supported trump hanged O'Bama in effigy since he was first elected, and no one called for them to engage in "healing" or "unity.") Turn them off.

6. FIRE any Democratic member of Congress who didn't wake up this morning ready to fight, resist, and obstruct in the way Republicans did against President Obama every day for eight full years. (Editor's note: we may have to risk losing an election or two, but given the situation we're in now, could it really be any worse? What do we have to lose?!??)

7. ACKNOWLEDGE Americans and their despair after YEARS of being neglected by both parties. trump is both a creature and a creation of the media--REMIND the media and DEMAND they own that.

8. REMIND everyone you meet today: "HILLARY CLINTON WON THE POPULAR VOTE!" The MAJORITY of our fellow Americans preferred Hillary Clinton over Donald Trump. Period. The only reason trump will be president is an arcane, insane, 18th-century idea called the Electoral College. Until we change that, we'll continue to have presidents we didn't elect and didn't want. A majority of citizens acknowledge climate change and believe in equal pay, debt-free college, no unnecessary wars, livable minimum wage, marriage equality, and single-payer true universal health care system. None of that has changed. We live in a country where the majority agree with the "liberal" position. We just lack the liberal leadership to make that happen.

9. ORGANIZE an opposition movement with Michael Moore, Bernie, Elizabeth Warren, MoveOn, the hip-hop community, DFA, etc. fueled by young people who, as with Occupy Wall Street and Black Lives Matter, don't tolerate BS and are relentless in their resistance to authority. They have no interest in compromising with racists and misogynists.

10. IMPEACH Trump. Just as the Republicans were already planning to do with President Hillary Clinton from day one, we must ORGANIZE the apparatus that will bring charges against him when he violates his oath and breaks the law—and then we must remove him from office.

11. COMMIT NOW to a vigorous fight (including civil disobedience, if necessary) that will block any and all Donald Trump Supreme Court nominees who do not meet our approval. DEMAND that Democrats in the Senate aggressively filibuster any nominees who support Citizens United or who oppose the rights of women, immigrants, and the poor. This is NON-NEGOTIABLE.

12. DEMAND the DNC APOLOGIZE to Bernie Sanders and for giving Clinton the questions in advance at the Flint debate and for its anti-democratic system of "superdelegates" who are elected by no one. If no apology is soon forthcoming from the DNC, we will issue the apology in person once we take over the party.

13. DEMAND that Obama establish a SPECIAL PROSECUTOR to investigate FBI director James Comey's illegal interference into the election.

14. PUSH for a constitutional amendment to fix our broken electoral system: a) eliminate the Electoral College—popular vote only; b) paper ballots only, no electronic voting; c) Election Day must be made a holiday for all so more people vote; d) all citizens, regardless of any run-ins with the criminal justice system, must have the right to vote.

15. DEMAND Obama immediately do what he should have done a year ago: send in the Army Corps of Engineers to Flint to dig up and replace all the poisoned pipes. Nothing has changed; the water in Flint is still unusable.

16. SIGN UP for daily headlines from Daily Kos, AlterNet, and "Democracy Now!" SIGN petitions. ATTEND town halls and protests. GET INVOLVED!
  
So there it is, friends. 16 actions to take every single day until we see light at the end of the tunnel that isn't the oncoming train.

...Remember, trump has heard "bad things...very bad things" about NIH. pence doesn't believe that tobacco smoking causes cancer. Neither believes in global warming. Both probably believe that the earth is flat, the sky is hard, and you can breed striped goats from solid ones by making the parents look at stripey scenery while mating.
   
I looked at 2 years of front pages. Trump's Muslim ban got far less attention than Clinton's emails.
...And, even though a study showed that Top Newspapers Give Clinton Email Story More Coverage Than All Other Trump Stories, my dear true conservative friend, David Franke, and my Tea Party Christian friend both believe wholeheartedly that Clinton got favorable coverage in the media, not trump. Go figger!!
