DotCalm--

Voting is the essential right of every American.

Here in Wisconsin, early voting for the Democratic primary began last week.

Opportunities like this are so important because it allows people with busy lives to have their voices heard.

And I'm proud to say that yesterday two of my most ardent supporters cast their ballots for the very first time: my wonderful wife Cornelia and my assistan and longtime friend Trevor.

Cornelia recently became a US citizen and Trevor just turned 18.

They are great examples of how this country affords an opportunity to participate to all Americans.

We need to be working every day to make access to the voting booth easier, not harder.

Because it takes millions of perspectives to make our democracy strong.

Unfortunately, many of our Republican opponents disagree.

Which is why we need to turn out in force this November to make sure we protect and expand voting rights.
