Senate Republicans just voted against a bill that would have reinstated long-term unemployment benefits for 1.3 million Americans--including more than 200,000 military veterans--even after Democrats agreed to offset the costs to meet Republican demands.

Harvard economist Lawrence Katz says that the denial of these benefits will cost the economy up to $1 billion a week. Yep, billion with a B.

Who are these people? They certainly are NOT Americans.
