Greetings, Dot Calm Readers!
Dot's faithful shadow here, carrying the torch as promised.
We are all still reeling from Dot's passing.
Even though we are oh-so-grateful that she is no longer in pain and no longer suffering, we are all still just reeling.
It is no exaggeration to say that that fateful Thursday was the worst day of our lives.
But Dot herself would want us to move forward and keep fighting the good fight, so here I am.
Today, I have polished up the tribute to Dot, including adding a few more details to the bio and a larger version of the thumbnail Dot had me add to the blog a year or three back. Please scroll down and take a look.
I have also posted a handful of articles to help us all understand our media, our politicians, our religions, and our bodies.
When she was in the rehab facility, Dot wanted to blog about the health care--or lack thereof--she was receiving. In her honor, I will be posting her and my observations about health care advocacy, including the ugly side of how the medical and nursing communities treat people when they don't know, they don't care, or they don't think anyone is watching.
Be informed and protect yourself--this is NOT a time to trust the professionals to do what's right. Trust me, they can only be relied on to do what's convenient.
So, stay tuned to this blog.
And, in the meantime, don't forget to VOTE DEMOCRATIC!
