Congress Holds Working Americans Hostage

Republicans in Congress have no qualms about holding American workers hostage. The political football du jour? The measly increase to the measly minimum wage. Yes, fellow Americans, Republicans were “willing” to discuss increasing the minimum wage, but it was all a scam: they just wanted to ram through more repeals to the estate tax. Since the inception of the minimum wage, Congress has voted itself more in raises than minimum wage workers earn working 40-hour weeks.
